Betting on Serie A – Match Day 2

August 25, 2017

Finally! Football all across Europe is back in full throttle and we’re already feeling the heat from the upcoming colossal clash that’s due to take place Saturday night. Roma host Inter at the Stadio Olimpico and both teams will be looking to secure back to back wins. AC Milan transformed their squad over the summer and have been proving to be a force to be reckoned with, winning four of their last five games. Bianconeri wasted no time picking up where they left off, putting three past Cagliari and dominating the game from the start. This could be the first year in recent history where the Bianconeri will be seriously challenged for the title. Only time will tell and Allegri’s men have proven time, and time again that they’re on par with the big boys in football. It sure feels like it’s going to be an exciting year to be betting on Serie A.

Bet on Roma vs Inter

Dubbed as one of the most intense and physical games of the season, the upcoming clash between these two rivals is never short of goals. Roma emerged victorious in both encounters and in both games, both teams scored and finished in over 2.5 goals. Both squads have dangerous forwards but it was Kolarov who gave Roma the winning goal against Atalanta over the weekend. Odds for both teams to score are set at 1.50.

As expected, Roma are the slight favourites to win, with odds of 2.32 while odds for Inter to collect all three points are priced at 3.05. Inter won all their last five games, which include some big names, such as Chelsea and Bayern Munich in the International Champions Cup. From their last six meetings, only one game ended in a draw, which currently has odds of 3.40. Inter put three past Fiorentina last weekend and looked pretty confident in what they can achieve this season. Backing Inter not to lose can be a smart bet, considering that they only conceded two goals from their last five games. Betting on double chance in Inter’s favour has odds of 1.61, pretty good considering you’ll be safe with two outcomes.

Bet on AC Milan

Just like Inter, AC Milan have been completely transformed over the summer and their pre-season matches were showing very positive results. The Rossoneri cruised past Crotone in their opening encounter and will be looking to collect all three points against Cagliari. As expected, Milan are the favourites with odds of 1.20. If you’re looking for better odds, consider handicap betting, as odds for Milan to win with a goal difference of two or more are set at 1.52, three or more goals at 2.45.

AC Milan have only conceded one goal in their last five matches, including their Europa League qualification matches. Odds for one team (or none) to score at set at 1.67. The squad seems to be gelling very well with Montella’s strategy and team philosophy. Will AC Milan prove to the football world that they can return to their winning ways?

Bet on the Bianconeri

The Champions secured their sixth consecutive title and Serie A betting are hoping there would be serious contenders for the title to make it more competitive. However, the Bianconeri proved to be too powerful, not just for Italian teams, but also in Europe. Allegri’s men reached the Champions League final twice in three years, sinking football giants in the process.

They now face Genoa in a quest for all three points and odds for them doing just that are set at 1.42. Try handicap betting on Bianconeri for even better odds, priced at 2.15. Genoa were one of the few teams who beat Bianconeri last season but haven’t secured a single point against the Champions away from home in a very long time.
