35 countries are participating in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, which starts on Tuesday 12th May 2026. The Grand Final then unfolds on the Wiener Stadthalle stage on Saturday 16th May.

Some notable mentions from last year’s Switzerland-based Contest appear again in our top Eurovision 2026 odds:

 

• Israel was last year’s rather controversial runner-up. Yuval Raphael demonstrated a strong vocal performance, singing “New Day Will Rise” in a mix of Hebrew, French, and English. He received a mixed response of cheers and boos, with the performance heavily overshadowed by protests. 
• Sweden has a strong Eurovision history, winning with ‘Waterloo’ by ABBA in 1974. More recently, Loreen’s “Tattoo” claimed the top spot in 2023. This was Loreen’s second win after her 2012 hit “Euphoria.” The good luck continued last year with “Bara bada bastu” by KAJ, a unique song title that translates to “Just Sauna.”
• Italy’s last win was in 2021 with “Zitti e Buoni” by rock band Måneskin. The country also came 5th in 2025 with “Olevo Essere Un Duro” by Lucio Corsi, a successful southern Tuscan musician.

Finland

At 6/4, Linda Lampenius and Pete Parkkonen are odds-on favourites to clinch the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 title.

Denmark

France

A solid challenger to the top two is Monroe’s “Regarde!”. The artist is just 17 years old and already an established talent in France, with a victory in the country’s flagship talent show and a debut album under her belt.

 

The track itself is James Bond-esque, with a highly emotional theme, epic vocals, and even operatic elements. Again, it could be popular with the juries, but its strong emotion may not translate so well to the public vote.

 

Australia

Australia makes a strong case for Eurovision victory this year, with award-winning singer-songwriter, actress, entrepreneur, and philanthropist Delta Goodrem and her latest track, “Eclipse.” The Aussies could be accused of playing it safe with such a polished number, but they will definitely remain on the heels of the top 3. One to watch.

 

Greece

An authentic sound and strong stage presence mean Akylas and his track “Ferto” may be another contender to watch in this year’s competition. Greece only won Eurovision once before, back in 2005. Could this be the year Greek fates change?

 

Israel

Despite the controversies surrounding Israel’s entry, it has been allowed to perform again this year. The odds for the nation’s selected song, “Michelle”, have drifted outside of the top 5 as voting patterns become more uncertain. 

 

Noam Bettan has some huge hurdles to overcome, but don’t rule his track out. It’s impossible not to tap along to the rhythm of his track!

 

Sweden

If techno-house or EDM isn’t quite your thing, don’t panic. FELICIA takes elements from this genre, blending them with more classic pop vibes to create “My System.” But the million-dollar question is whether the track will truly resonate with both juries and tele voters, particularly more than the other nations.

 

Romania

Romania returns triumphantly to this year’s Contest and definitely isn’t holding back. “Choke Me,” performed by Alexandra Căpitănescu, has been criticised for its potentially dangerous and reckless lyrics, which will likely push it further down the national jury vote. However, this controversy could draw more public attention.

 

Italy 

Italy has always landed in the top 10 in recent years. So, despite currently ranking at the bottom of the top 10, they have a good chance in 2026. That’s also one of our best Eurovision betting tips: be sure to check stats from previous years.

 

This member of the Big 5 is represented by Sal Da Vinci and “Per Sempre Sì,” or “Forever Yes.” Da Vinci made his stage debut at just 7 years old, meaning he’s no stranger to the pressures of the industry. In fact, his entry has already become one of the Sanremo Festival’s most-streamed tracks!

 

Ukraine

“Ridnym,” Ukraine’s 2026 Eurovision entry, is already receiving mixed opinions, with some fans calling it “boring.” However, Leléka here sings tales of family and belonging, which are likely to appeal to tele voters. Most Interesting: Eurovision UK Entry

This track is much more eccentric than those of previous years, including 2025’s polished musical theatre-style performance from trio Remember Monday.
