Thomas Tuchel will take charge of his first match as Bayern Munich manager when Borussia Dortmund visit Allianz Arena on Saturday. The Black and Yellows currently sit atop the Bundesliga table with Edin Terzic’s team still unbeaten in the league in 2023 (nine wins and one draw from their last 10 matches).

Marcos Reus has been in excellent form of late, scoring five goals and registering two assists in his last seven appearances in all competitions. Bayern Munich have kept just two clean sheets in their last 10 Bundesliga matches and so Dortmund will fancy their chances of damaging the defending champions.

Under 2.5 goals – Manchester City v Liverpool 

Manchester City are in excellent form, winning six matches in-a-row in all competitions before the international break. Liverpool, on the other hand, lost back-to-back matches against Bournemouth and Real Madrid. What’s more, the Reds have only picked up 12 points in away matches in the Premier League this season.

There have been under 2.5 goals in five of Liverpool’s last six matches (the one exception being the 7-0 thrashing of Manchester United). Jurgen Klopp’s team have found the back of the net just twice in their last five matches away from home and the Etihad Stadium will be a difficult place for them to improve on that record.

Match to be a draw – Brighton v Brentford

Brighton and Brentford are both enjoying exceptional seasons in the Premier League. The Seagulls are flying high in seventh place while Thomas Frank’s Bees are in eighth place, below Brighton on goal difference alone. Saturday’s match at the Amex Stadium presents both teams with an opportunity to build momentum for the final stretch.

However, Brighton have drawn three of their last seven Premier League matches while Brentford have drawn three of their last six. All the signs point to a share of the spoils on the south coast this weekend. It could still be an entertaining encounter, though.

Both teams to score – Arsenal v Leeds

Arsenal will continue their march towards the Premier League title following the international break with a home fixture against Leeds United. The Gunners have won their last six matches in-a-row in the division since the defeat to Manchester City in mid-February and have genuine momentum behind them.

Despite this strong run of form, Arsenal have kept just one clean sheet in their last six Premier League matches at home. Brentford, Bournemouth and Crystal Palace have all found the back of the net in recent matches at the Emirates Stadium and Leeds United, who have scored six times in their last two games, will fancy their chances.

The Magpies are unbeaten in 19 of their last 21 Premier League matches, but they lost their last meeting with Erik Ten Hag’s team in the Carabao Cup final. The Magpies have had the most corners in 10 of their last 11 home matches and they have also scored under 1.5 goals in 10 of their last 11 matches against Manchester United. There might not be much between the two sides with the stakes particularly high and Champions League qualification the prize.
