Player to score – Marcus Rashford (Aston Villa v Cardiff) 17/10

Marcus Rashford has made a strong start to life at Aston Villa, registering two assists in last week’s win over Chelsea. The on-loan Manchester United winger is expected to start against Cardiff City in the FA Cup this weekend, giving him an opportunity to score his first goal for his new club. Villa are coming off the back of a damaging 4-1 defeat to Crystal Palace during the week, but Unai Emery’s team have found the back of the net at least once in each of their last five games in all competitions. Rashford will pose a threat against the team struggling in the Championship this season.

Over 2.5 total goals – Atletico Madrid v Athletic Club (23/20)

Atletico Madrid have found their scoring touch of late. Indeed, Diego Simeone’s team have scored seven goals in their last two games including four against Barcelona in the mid-week Copa del Rey semi-final. Julian Alvarez and Antoine Griezmann in particular pose a threat in every match they play. Meanwhile, Athletic Club are fresh from putting seven goals past Osasuna. The Basque side also recently scored three in a comprehensive victory over Girona and so this weekend’s meeting at the Metropolitano could be an entertaining one even if both sides are usually known for their defensive ability.

Match to be a draw – Manchester United v Fulham (12/5)

Manchester United might have come through their mid-week fixture against Ipswich Town with three points, but it wasn’t exactly a convincing victory. Ruben Amorim’s team continues to struggle at home with Fulham on a run of four wins from their last five matches in all competitions. Fulham will pose a threat on the counter through the likes of Adama Traore and Alex Iwobi who will have space to attack. Bruno Fernandes might be able to conjure up something to save United, but this will be another competitive game at Old Trafford that could expose the home team’s weaknesses.

Both teams to score – Newcastle v Brighton (4/9)

Sunday’s match between Newcastle United and Brighton promises to be one of the most compelling ties in this weekend’s FA Cup fifth round. Both teams are targeting a deep run in the competition and so are expected to start full-strength teams at St James’ Park. There will be a lot of attacking quality on show.

Brighton are on a winning run of four games in all competitions and have scored 11 goals in the process. Meanwhile, have won their last two matches at home, scoring six goals against Arsenal and Nottingham Forest. It’s a solid bet that both teams will find the back of the net on Sunday afternoon.

Plymouth Argyle’s FA Cup fairytale will continue with a trip to the Etihad Stadium to face Manchester City this weekend. While The Pilgrims put out Liverpool in the last round, this will surely be a step too far. City could field a full-strength team as they look to win the last cup competition they are still in.

James McAtee is a good bet to find the back of the net at some point in the match. City are fresh from an away win over Tottenham Hotspur during the week. So another win over Plymouth this weekend could help the defending Premier League champions build much-needed momentum.
