Player to score – Richarlison (Tottenham Hotspur v Burnley) 13/10

Tottenham Hotspur enter Friday’s FA Cup third round on the back of four wins from their last five Premier League matches. Ange Postecoglou’s team put five goals past the Clarets when the two sides met at Turf Moor earlier in the season and Spurs are heavy favourites to get the job done against Vincent Kompany’s relegation strugglers.

Richarlison has found a rich vein of form recently, scoring five goals in his last five games. The Brazilian striker is proving his worth to Postecoglou and will almost certainly have chances to continue his scoring form against a Burnley team that has conceded more ‘big chances’ this season than any other Premier League side.

Under 2.5 total goals – Bologna v Genoa (11/25)

Bologna have been one of the success stories of this season in Serie A with Thiago Motta’s team firmly in the race to finish in the top four and qualify for the Champions League. However, Bologna aren’t renowned for scoring a lot of goals having netted just 21 times in 18 league fixtures so far this season.

Genoa are also struggling for firepower, scoring just 19 goals in 18 games. They have also drawn a blank in two of their last three away matches in Serie A. Bologna are favourites to continue their march towards a top four finish, but this could be a cagey encounter decided by a single goal.

Match to be a draw – Sunderland v Newcastle United (3/1)

Sunderland will host Newcastle United in one of the most eye-catching ties of the FA Cup third round. The Magpies are in dreadful form at the moment with Eddie Howe’s team on a run of just one win from their last eight matches in all competitions and Saturday’s game at the Stadium of Light will be another tricky one.

Sunderland are unbeaten in their last three matches coming into Saturday’s Tyne-Wear Derby. Michael Beale is still getting his feet under the desk at the Stadium of Light, but he is starting to turn things around. Remarkably, the Black Cats have won their last three home matches against Newcastle in all competitions. Another win might be beyond them on Saturday, but Sunderland could force a replay.

Both teams to score – Luton Town v Bolton Wanderers (10/13)

Luton Town suffered defeat to Chelsea last weekend, but spirits at Kenilworth Road should still be high after recent wins over Newcastle United and Sheffield United. Rob Edwards has given his team an identity after a difficult start to the season with the Hatters physical and direct in their attacking approach.

Bolton Wanderers, however, will arrive at The Kenny on the back of four successive victories in League One with Ian Evatt’s team chasing promotion to the second tier. Bolton have lost just two away games all season while Luton have found the back of the net in all but one of their home matches.

Sunday will see Arsenal and Liverpool clash in the FA Cup third round. It’s not certain how seriously both Mikel Arteta and Jurgen Klopp will take the competition, with the two teams in the thick of a Premier League title race, but the match at the Emirates Stadium promises to be a blockbuster encounter.

Liverpool have scored two goals or more in in each of their last four away games against Arsenal in all competitions, suggesting the Reds will find the back of the net on Sunday. Liverpool, however, have kept just two clean sheets in 14 away games this season – and they came against Burnley and Sheffield United.
