She may have been 25/1 when winning on her return in Listed company at Goodwood, but it probably wasn’t quite the shock those odds suggest. She had been going well at home and I thought she did it very well considering the difficult conditions – it was a very windy day – and her inexperience, and she probably got there soon enough, too. She will need to progress to be competitive here but I think that is likely – she looks to have improved since – and any rain shouldn’t be a problem as it was testing enough at Goodwood.

Air To Air

I was very impressed with him at Doncaster recently. He travelled really well into the race and picked up in really good style close home, and hopefully an 8lb rise for that victory won’t stop him running a huge race here. That came on quick ground but he had previously won on soft – though I would prefer decent ground for him – and I reckon he has a lot going for him after just seven starts. Whether or not his low draw in eight is a negative we will have to find out, but it didn’t stop Bless Him winning this race from stall three back in 2017.
