One time Champion Bumpber winner BALLYANDY bounced back to form in impressive fashion last time and he bids to follow up at Ascot today. He's burdened with top weight but he's undoubtedly the class horse in the field and punters have smashed him nearly into favouritism. An early battle between punters and bookies on the start of a huge afternoon.

 

Black Corton

Well BLACK CORTON has been smasehd into favourite this morning as Bryony Frost bids for another high profile Saturday winner. The game course and distance was a very good second at Kempton Park when last seen and it'll be interesting to see how he gets on back in handicap company.

 

Politologue

The Grade 1 Ascot Chase looks the race of the day with Waiting Patiently, so unlucky on Boxing Day, clashing with course and distance winner POLITOLOGUE. And punters have again come for a Paul Nicholls horse as our traders report money for the classy grey. This does look to be his optimum trip and a mouthwatering contest awaits. Don't rule out the other runners, either.

A trappy five runner affair, but we're seeing all the money for one horse – VISION DES FLOS. Tizzard's charge was a close 2nd to Unibet Champion Hurdle favourite Buvuer D'Air when last seen and a repeat of that form makes him the one to beat. Does he truly put it all in, though?

Leighton Aspell is a positive booking – he won on his only ride on him before – and the 9yo son of Oscar can go well for a yard who excel with staying chasers.
