2yo JAMAIS ASSEZ is fully entitled to come on a fair bit for his first run and it's interesting that there is money around for him today. His talented half-sister went well on cut so there's every chance he'll relish the soft conditions today. A nice each-way play against a penalised odds on jolly!

QUICKSTEP LADY is another once raced 2yo who is clearly expected to improve today. To be fair the yard's runners often do and for all that this is always a good race, this one must be showing something at home. She's related to some smart types and it will be fascinating to see how she fares today. Really well backed.

STARFIGHTER, for that man Oisin Murphy, is now a clear favourite in the lucky last. He's in good form, with a string of 2nds, and the yard have banged in a couple of winners in the past week. In a trappy contest he should run his race first time under Murphy and punters like this one over the others. Now the one to beat receiving weight from the field.

Keep On Laughing

A significant gamble on John Butler's KEEP ON LAUGHING is occuring at Chelmsford this evening. He's only had the three runs, and was up there for a long way last time out, but he does have a fair bit to find on official ratings. The jockey's 5lb claim will help but stall 16 is a bit of a shocker. Does someone know something here?!
