IT’S great to be back for another season with Unibet and we’re all looking forward to what lies ahead. While many have said we had a didn’t have a great previous season, it’s worth pointing out that our horses ran to a 21% strike rate, we had six Grade One winners and earnt over £2.2 million in prize money, so apart from Cheltenham, I think we had a very good year.
As usual, we don’t have too many runners at this stage of the season, but it was good to have a winner at Southwell on Wednesday and we’ll really start to get going in the next few weeks.
CHELTENHAM -FRIDAY
1:15
In The Air (Nico de Boinville)
He’s a very likeable person who has done well since joining us and he handles good ground. I thought he won quite nicely last time, and the Handicapper has consequently put him back up a few pounds, but he’s won off 120 back in the day so still looks well treated and he does have an obvious fitness advantage.
2:25
Arclight (Nico De Boinville)
She isn’t the biggest but is a very, very tough mare and this chasing idea was all down to Nico who suggested schooling her over fences one day, and to be honest, he was right because she hasn’t looked back since!
Draw a line through her run in the Pendil, when many of our horses weren’t right, and she very much comes into this. She has a little to find with the principals but is in good form and won’t mind the ground.
