A very welcome ride for Willie Mullins in this valuable Sussex Champion Chase and he looks to have a solid chance after a good, narrow second to Aspire Tower over 2m at Wexford earlier in the month, a race in which he didn’t meet the last two fences foot-perfect. He is 2lb higher than his mark in Ireland but he looks to have a decent chance to me.

He has had his wind done since being a bit below-par at Exeter in February. If that helps, then he looks fairly handicapped on his earlier second to Saint Anapolino at that track. The step back up in trip should suit him.
