Nico de Boinville: “His pedigree suggests the step up to 3m will suit him“

Nico de Boinville|11 November 2021

Cheltenham

2.50pm

Optimise Prime

He has come a long way since I rode him on his debut in a bumper last year and he was allowed to take his chance in the Ballymore after a couple of wins and Listed third at Market Rasen. I don’t think many people were surprised when he didn’t figure at Cheltenham but he gets in here off a mark of 129 and I think his run-style, and certainly his pedigree, suggests the step up to 3m will suit him. He’d prefer it if the ground remained good to soft by race-time.
