Raging (Pat Dobbs)

He wasn’t beaten far at all in the Super Sprint at Newbury last time on ground that would’ve been plenty quick enough and this looks a very realistic race for him to get his head back in front. We are going up in trip but he’s a nice relaxed horse so if anything I think it will improve him and he has a rock solid chance in this.

 

3:45 Handicap

Eminent Hipster (Pat Dobbs)

His last two runs have been slightly underwhelming, although he ran well over course and distance last time, but I do think he’s slightly high in the handicap for what he’s actually achieved and there are a few others who come into this in better form so I wouldn’t be confident by any means.    

 

CHESTER

Noonday Gun (Cam Hardie)

He arrives here in good form having won nicely last time and I think he deserves to take his chance in a race like this. Stamina is his forte so whether Chester is quite his track only time will tell, but we will make plenty of use of him and he won’t have any issues with the ground.

Anghaam (Shane Kelly)

She is yet to finish out of the first three in all of her eight races and It was great to see her get her head in front again at Goodwood last time, for which she went up 4lbs, so she’s now off a career-high mark but is clearly on the upgrade and will have no problems switching to the all weather.

Goldilocks

She’s got some very smart form to her name and this should be a lot easier than the Listed race she contested last time at Newbury. Liam is very good value for his 7lbs claim and I think she goes there with a very good chance.

Arafi

She’s a very consistent filly who is yet to run a bad race and it was good to see her win at Windsor last time off the back of some decent efforts in defeat. This is quite a competitive race but she’s in good form at home and I can’t find a reason why she shouldn’t be there or thereabouts.

Lafan

He’s been gelded since his last run which will hopefully make him concentrate because he’s not really been focusing on the job in hand. This is within his grade and I think he’ll go very close.
