Indeed, England will have to be on their game here to secure the win. Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow put on a 128-run opening partnership in their last outing — and something like this will greatly calm the English nerves at the Rose Bowl.

But batting cannot win this game alone. West Indies have some sloggers in their side, so England’s bowling attack needs to be on point. That means getting even more out of the excelling Jofra Archer, while spinner Moeen Ali may prove pivotal here.

West Indies will fancy their chances of hurting England here. They beat Pakistan in their first World Cup match thanks to the pinpoint bowling of Jason Holder and Oshane Thomas. Remember, West Indies also beat New Zealand — a strong outsider to win the Cricket World Cup — in a warm-up match this summer.

West Indies are 3.30 to win this match and England have exposed their weaknesses already in this tournament. The Windies are worth looking at.

As for England’s bowling attack, Archer is the 6.25 match favourite to claim the most wickets. Liam Plunkett boasts just three wickets for the tournament so far and seems a small price at 7.50 to claim the top gong here.
