French Open live stream and betting as Nadal, Djokovic and Halep eye finals

The French Open quarter-final stages are almost upon us and here at Unibet we’re ready to provide you with all the action.

Nadal still favourite

Rafael Nadal remains the favourite to win the men’s singles title for what would be a 12th time at the French Open. The King of Clay has started the tournament very strongly and has dropped just one set up to the quarter-final stage.

Nadal beat Argentine Juan Londero 6-2 6-3 6-3 in his fourth-round outing — the type of straight-forward triumph that players need when conserving their energy for bigger tasks later in the tournament. Nadal seems at ease on clay this year, with his age-old injuries so far staying away.

But Nadal can be beaten — and Novak Djokovic is in a prime place to secure the title. Djokovic, a one-time winner at the French Open — is also going strong. Remember, he won the Madrid Open earlier this summer and also reached the Italian Open final.

Djokovic is being backed by plenty of tennis betting fans because his odds are wider than Nadal’s.

But is there also a case for Roger Federer to come win the title here in Paris? The former champion will face Swiss compatriot Stan Wawrinka in the quarter-finals. That is a mouth-watering clash, with the potential of Federer then playing Nadal in the semis.

Federer was out at 10.00 at the start of the tournament to win the title. Those odds are now coming in as he defies age again to push for a 21st Grand Slam title.

Women’s draw wide open

Before the quarter-final line-up was even confirmed, a staggering 26 of the top 32-ranked players in the women’s singles draw were already out of the French Open.

This is the most wide-open French Open we’ve seen in years — and it is testament to the competitiveness of the women’s game that top seeds are never guaranteed easy progression.

Simona Halep is now the top-seeded player in the women’s draw and is 2.75 to win the title. Sloane Stephens is arguably her biggest threat to the silverware, with the American seventh seed playing well in the tournament she reached the final of last year.

But could a further outsider claim the title? Aussie Ashleigh Barty has been on stunning form so far and has dropped just one set all tournament. The eighth seed plays Madison Keys in the quarters — a match you can bet on while watching the tennis live stream here with Unibet!

Britain’s Jo Konta is also going strong and has exceeded expectations. From 40.00 at the start of the tournament, Konta is now 13.00 to claim the title.

Yet no matter who reaches the final, Saturday’s clash promises to be a firecracker.
