Dortmund sit a point off Leverkusen in fifth place, having lost 3-1 to Union Berlin on their last league outing. The defeat was a major shock and already dents Dortmund’s title hopes.

Leverkusen, meanwhile, sit fourth in the table but were held 0-0 by a stolid Hoffenheim on the last weekend before the international break. That was their first real test of the season and Leverkusen arguably failed to meet it.

Dortmund start out as the 1.75 favourites to win this match on Saturday and wise punters will be backing them in a combination bet. After all, Leverkusen may have started well but they performed miserably against Hoffenheim — recording just two shots on target from 20 efforts. This is Dortmund’s game to win.

This is the featured match in Germany on Saturday and Munich head into it as the 1.87 favourites to claim victory. Now, that proves just how strong punters believe this Munich side to be. After all, Leipzig are actually the team who have maintained their 100% start to the season, with three victories from three so far. Munich are already two points off the league leaders.

Newcomers to the Bundesliga Paderborn have faired reasonably well in their first three games of the season. After a thrilling 3-2 defeat to Leverkusen and a hardy 3-1 loss at home to Freiburg, Paderborn claimed their first points thanks to a 1-1 draw at Wolfsburg. And the result will certainly give the newcomers hope of scraping a draw against Schalke on Sunday.

Indeed, Schalke have endured a middling start to the new season, with four points from three games. They beat Hertha on their last outing but were stunned 4-2 by Viktoria Koln in a friendly over the international break.
