SANDOWN 1:50 Laguna Beach (Nico De Boinville) I thought he ran a good race at Ascot last time after making a few minor jumping errors and giving the winner 6lbs. This is a step up in grade but he’s a very nice horse for the future and has a solid chance on his Handicap debut. … Nicky Henderson: “Amazingly she is yet to win a race, but I’d be expecting that to change very quickly.”

1.20pm Windsor Jeriko Du Reponet This is clearly a very competitive Grade 2 novices’ chase but we are marginally the best in at these weights, on hurdling form at least. A very smart and progressive handicap hurdler last season, signing off with a great win at Punchestown, he has resumed his chasing campaign this term … Nico de Boinville: “Let’s hope he can continue to head in the right direction in this sphere.”
