UOS Lightning

We’re upping the summer fun with a speedy MTT series – UOS Lightning.

There will be 40 events in eight days, accommodating all levels. Buy-ins range from €2 to €250 with a total guarantee of €207,050!

You can also try qualifying for the big UOS Lightning events in cheap satellites.

It’s not only about the tournaments though. All told we’ll splash out €8,000 in prizes through four leaderboards, Mystery Freerolls and an UOS Lightning Mission. 

The Mystery Freerolls will randomly appear in the MTT lobby, so check-in daily for the chance to win UOS tickets.

How to play at UOS Lightning:

  • Download the Poker client or play directly from your browser
  • Go to the full tournament lobby in the poker client
  • Type “UOS” in the search bar to find all events of the “Unibet Online Series”
  • Compete with other poker players, collect leaderboard points by beating the competition and move up the ladder!

The IPO in Dublin is played from 26th October – 31st October. 
The tournament has a buy-in of €300 and you can qualify for it online at Unibet.

We offer weekly qualifier to win your €300 seat for it. Weekly qualifiers are played Sundays at 18:00 CEST. 

They have a buy-in of €33 and SIX tickets are guaranteed.

Last qualifier on 23rd October.

Important: Players can also play the online Day1a of the IPO on Unibet on 23rd October. Players can decide if they want to play the online starting day or go to the casino at Bonnington Hotel in Dublin to play the start day live.

Leaderboards: There are four leaderboards in total:

Low: All tournaments with a buy-in range from €5 - €10

Mid: All tournaments with a buy-in range from €25 - €50

High: All tournaments with a buy-in range from €100 - €300

Overall: All points from Low + Mid + High are accumulated for the Overall leaderboard. The Nano leaderboard is excluded here.

Leaderboard prizes and point-formula

  • The amount of points you receive is determined by our fair for all formula that considers the buy-in, the number of players and your position. Everything is calculated and added automatically as per below.

You get:

  • One leaderboard point for every Low, Mid or High tournament played. 
  • If you finish in the top 17% you get additional points according to this formula
  • 1,5*SQRT(n)/SQRT(k)*b
  • Where k=Position, n=number of players, b=Fixed buy-in (low=2,5, mid=4, high=4).
  • Example – Finishing in 1st place in a UOS Low MTT with 200 total players.
  • 1 + 1.5*SQRT(200)/SQRT(1)*2.5 = 54.
  • Points from Low, Mid and High are considered for the Overall leaderboard.

Terms and Conditions
  • This promotion is available from 00:00 UTC on the 24th April 2022 to 23:59 UTC on the 11th May 2022
  • Players can participate in all four leaderboards Low/ Mid/ High and the Overall leaderboard. The leaderboards are not available to players in Denmark, Sweden, and Belgium.
  • Players get one leaderboard point for every Low, Mid or High tournament played. NB: Nano events excluded.
  • Players must finish in the top 17% in a tournament to receive additional leaderboard points.
  • Leaderboard formula: 1.5*SQRT(n)/SQRT(k)*b, where n = number of players, k = your position, b = fixed buy-in (low=2.5, mid=4, high=4).
  • All eligible results from Unibet Online Series events will count towards the leaderboards.
  • Only results from the dedicated tournament category will generate leaderboard points for the similar category leaderboard.
  • The overall leaderboard will count all results from Low & Mid & High tournament events and sum this up. NB. Nano events does not award points to the overall leaderboard.
  • In the result of a tie for a place on the leaderboard, an average amount of the combined prizes will be paid out.
  • ie: If two players finish with the same amount of points on the Low Leaderboard for first place, they will win:
  • (30.000 BP [=1st prize] + 20.000 BP [=2nd prize]) / 2 = 25.000 BP
  • Each player can only occupy one place on each leaderboard. Any players found creating several accounts will be removed from this promotion and we reserve the right to take further action.
  • The leaderboard prizes will be paid out within 3 business days after the promotion had ended. Players will be paid out with bonus points.
  • The winners of the overall, high, mid, and low leaderboards will win a $1,000 voucher for Upswing Poker which can be used on Upswing poker for one of their poker training products. The winners will receive an email from Unibet with the voucher.
  • Players who finish 1st, 2nd or 3rd of any Nano event will win a ticket to the Nano Winners Showdown tournament.
  • The Nano Winners Showdown tournament is played on 9th March at 19:00 CET. It is in the players responsibility to register on time.
  • The UOS missions is not available to players from Belgium, Denmark and Sweden.
  • Satellite tickets issued as part of this promotion have a validity of 7 days and are non-exchangeable and non-transferable. Winnings resulting from use of these tickets have zero wagering requirement.
